Lisa is a proven, conservative,Republican leader, committed to the people of House District 61 (southwest Orem and west Provo). Lisa is known for being a great listener and caring about others.
As Chair of House District 61 for several terms, Lisa has effectively led the business of the Party for the same constituency she wishes to serve in the Legislature.

Over the past nearly 34 years, Lisa has been elected to positions on every level of the Republican Party including; precinct chair, House District 61 Chair, County Party officer, State Party officer, 2020 National Delegate, and many other leadership positions.
As the District 61 Chair, Lisa organizes district-wide caucuses, trains and regularly communicates with the precinct officers and delegates, actively engages on the UCRP Executive and Central Committees, organizes get-out-the-vote efforts, arranges town halls with our partisan elected officials, and so much more. She is also a member of the UTGOP Central Committee.
Provo City Neighborhood Chair and Area Representative, 1996-2002
Lisa was elected by her neighbors as the Lakeview South Neighborhood Chair, and elected by the West Provo Neighborhood Chairs as the West Side Area Representative. Lisa worked closely with the Provo Police Department's Community Oriented Policing (COP) Program to improve the safety of the residents of west Provo, including assisted the COP division to shut down a neighborhood drug house. Protecting the neighborhood's children, Lisa worked hard to require a developer to remediate a hazard involving a dangerous 6' deep waterway created in his development. Lisa also served on both the Geneva Road Expansion and University Parkway Interchange advisory committees. As a result of these collaborations, our community was enhanced with a single-point urban interchange (SPUI) for the University Parkway interchange.
Yes, West Provo still needs a grocery store. As their neighborhood chair, Lisa called over 535 residents to survey their opinion on the proposed Smith's grocery store at Center Street and Geneva Road. With their names and responses in hand, Lisa stood for her neighbors to represent them to the council.
Provo High School Community Council Member 2004-2010, Chair 2008-2009
Lisa served on the Provo High School (PHS) School Community Council (SCC) and as the chair for two years. The SCC consists of and Lisa worked very closely with other elected members; parents, teachers, and the principal. The SCC was responsible to deliberate and prepare a plan to address the academic needs and allocate funds from the School LAND Trust Program for needed materials and projects.
Basketball and Soccer Coach, Provo Parks and Recreation 2006-2008
Lisa heartfully recalls this service as the most rewarding service she ever experienced. She coached one of the 6th/7th grade boys' basketball teams affectionally recognized as being coached by "some kid's mom" (Lisa) to the championship series. Lisa lights up when talking about the pure excitement she and the team experienced. Those boys are nearly 30 years-old now.
